Summary:
In the 1950s, Alice and Jack live in the idealized community of Victory, an experimental company town that houses the men who work on a top-secret project.
While the husbands toil away, the wives get to enjoy the beauty, luxury and debauchery of their seemingly perfect paradise.
However, when cracks in her idyllic life begin to appear, exposing flashes of something sinister below the surface, Alice can't help but question exactly what she's doing in Victory.

At the Venice Film Festival this was the film that had the most excitement:

The star, Florence Pugh, is a critic and audience favourite
It also stars the pop star Harry Styles in his 2nd film role. People aren’t sure if he’s a good actor yet but he has a lot of fans
There were so many SCANDALS surrounding the movie… let’s talk about them
Scandal 1: The lead actor was fired
Wilde stated she had to fire Shia LaBeouf due to his "process" of preparing for a role, so as to keep Florence Pugh “safe.”
Soon after he was fired, FKA Twigs, a singer filed a lawsuit against him for allegedly abusing her physically, mentally, and emotionally while they were dating.
To quickly replace him, Wilde hired Harry Styles despite his little acting experience.
Was it a good idea to hire a pop star to be in the movie?
Scandal 2: The director started dating the star
During shooting the director, Olivia Wilde (38), who was engaged at the time started dating Harry Styles (28), the star of her movie.
Do you think this kind of news is good or bad for the movie?
Wilde’s fiancee, Jason Sudeikis, is also an actor. They have 2 kids together.
She was served custody papers while she was on stage at an event to promote her movie.
In the US legal documents (court summons, divorce and custody papers) must be served to the person directly.
How do you feel about this happening so publicly?
Scandal 3: The star, Florence Pugh, didn’t promote the movie
She almost never mentioned the movie on her social media accounts. Something actors are all expected to do.
At the Venice Film Festival, Florence Pugh, didn’t attend 90% of the promotional events for the movie….She said she was busy filming Dune.
On the one day she joined the cast, she never made eye contact with or spoke to Olivia Wilde.

Pugh was unhappy Wilde spent too much time with Harry during filming. She often disappeared for a long time
Pugh was unhappy the movie promotions focused on the sex scenes between her and Harry Styles. She said: “Obviously, the nature of hiring the most famous pop star in the world, you’re going to have conversations like that. That’s just not what I’m going to be discussing because [this movie is] bigger and better than that.”
Scandal 4: Shia Labeouf says: “You didn’t fire me. I quit.”

He published an email he wrote to Olivia Wilde: “You and I both know the reasons for my exit. I quit your film because your actors and I couldn’t find time to rehearse!”
Labeouf also leaked a video message Wilde had sent him: “I feel like I’m not ready to give up on this yet, and I too am heartbroken and I want to figure this out.”
“I think this might be a bit of a wake-up call for Miss Flo, and I want to know if you’re open to giving this a shot with me, with us. If she really commits, if she really puts her mind and heart into it at this point and if you guys can make peace — and I respect your point of view, I respect hers — but if you guys can do it, what do you think? Is there hope?”
